Born in 1967 in Cide, Kastamonu, he completed his primary education in Kastamonu and his secondary education at Galatasaray High School. In 1991, he graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics. In 1994, he completed his master's degree in Operations Research at the Institute of Social Sciences of the same university. In May 1994, he started to work as a research assistant at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Statistics. 2000 After completing his PhD in Statistics, Özden was appointed as Asst.Assoc.Prof. in the same year. In 2001, after working as Assistant Research Manager at EVG Yatırım ve Menkul Kıymatler A.Ş. for one year, he started to work at Istanbul Commerce University. In 2010, he became Associate Professor in Quantitative Decision Methods and Professor in 2015. He served as Vice Dean, Faculty Board and Faculty Executive Board Members and Head of the Department of Statistics at the Faculties of Commercial Sciences and Arts and Sciences. Prof. Dr Özden is married and has one child.
