9th International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies, ISMSIT 2025, Ankara, Türkiye, 14 - 16 Kasım 2025, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
A MATLAB-based simulation tool with graphical user interface (GUI) capability has been created for this study in order to examine the energy consumption features of electric vehicles (EVs). Different vehicle types, driving profiles (constant and variable speed modes), and climatic circumstances may all be defined by the user in the developed system. Performance metrics like battery status (SOC), range, battery power, and current can be monitored in a variety of scenarios. A nonlinear energy consumption model serves as the foundation for the simulation, which accounts for physical forces including road slope, rolling resistance, and aerodynamic drag. Furthermore, in negative power conditions, the system considers battery charge and mimics the regenerative braking process. Each vehicle's time series data is shown graphically so that energy efficiency comparisons can be conducted. In order to anticipate and assess the energy consumption of electric vehicles under various road and environmental circumstances, the created platform provides a versatile and easy-to-use simulation environment that can be utilized for both educational and research purposes.
