Özet

The convergence of digital transformation and sustainability in the aviation sector has led to the emergence of smart airport ecosystems that rely heavily on interconnected technologies to achieve environmental goals. While innovations such as IoT-enabled energy systems, AI-driven carbon monitoring, and digital twin simulations enhance operational efficiency and support decarbonization, they also introduce new cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This chapter explores the critical role of cybersecurity as a foundational element of sustainable airport strategies. It examines the threats targeting green digital infrastructures, evaluates the integration of standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 14001, and proposes strategic approaches for managing cyber-resilience in smart, sustainable airports. By framing cybersecurity as a strategic enabler rather than a barrier, the chapter provides a roadmap for aligning environmental integrity, operational continuity, and digital trust in the next generation of airport management.
