The textile industry has become more interested in the sports sector as well as many other industries as a result of the growing popularity of sports around the world and the increase in the number of participants. Apparel and materials created for this market are designed to meet the needs and preferences of consumers when they participate in sporting activities. Consumers gain comfort and convenience in their daily lives, including increased safety, reduced risk of accidents and improved athletic performance through the use of technical and practical elements in sportswear. Contemporary textile and apparel design and manufacturing focuses on functionalization, creating advanced features, and applying advanced technologies to enhance human performance. The purpose of this article is to study specially designed materials and assemblies that go beyond their normal use and are designed to provide the user with specific characteristics or capabilities. A number of studies have been carried out in this area and the production of technologically advanced, intelligent and functional fabrics has been launched, which offer consumers a better wearing experience and comfort in everyday life, and also contribute to increased productivity. The study is limited to men's and women's casual sportswear created in the last 10 years that is technologically advanced, innovative and functional. The study draws on materials from scientific publications, dissertations, as well as digital interviews with designers and employees of famous brands.
