Özet
Today, demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is going up due to constantly rising oil prices, increased travel and maintenance costs for internal combustion engine cars, and growing carbon emissions, leading to global warming and other environmental concerns. This demand also leads to an increase in the demand for electricity used at charging stations at certain times of the day. It is apparent that this demand supply imbalance inevitably leads to an increase in electricity prices, which in turn results in an expected increase in charging costs. If local governments fail to provide the necessary incentives or develop alternative solutions, it seems that as demand for EVs increases, charging costs also rise, ultimately reducing interest in EVs. Among the alternative solutions being considered to address this issue, the most preferred is integrating renewable energy systems like photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage unit (ESU), into charging stations connected to the grid. This study aims to develop the optimal design of a low-cost charging station integrated with grid-connected PV system and ESU, for a 25-year projection under different scenarios. The proposed design worked well on a simulation basis, and the results indicate that the cost is lower than that in charging stations directly connected to the grid and can be verified through real-time implementation.
