Anıtsal yapılar, bir kentin yerleşme kimliğinin ana öğelerinden birini oluşturmaktadır. Çeşitli türdeki anıtsal yapılar, bulunduğu bölgenin ekonomik, sosyolojik, politik vb. geçmişini gösterebilmekte, bu açıdan da korunmaları büyük önem arz etmektedir. Çevre koşullarının, özellikle bakımsız kalmış anıtsal yapılarda, yıkıcı etkileri olmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında, çevresel koşulların anıtsal yapılara etki türleri iklimsel, fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik olarak sınıflandırıldıktan sonra, araştırma kapsamında yapı malzemelerinde nasıl hasar oluşturdukları araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın devamında bozulmaların anlatıldığı yapı malzemelerinden birer yapı örneği seçilerek bu yapılar çalışma kapsamında incelenmiştir. Son olarak da çalışmadan çıkarılan sonuç ve önerilerle çalışma tamamlanmıştır.
Monumental structures, constitute one of the main elements of the settlement identity of a city. Various monumental structures of the region, economic, sociological, political, etc. they can show their past, and in this respect it is of great importance to protect them. Environmental conditions have devastating effects especially on neglected monumental structures. Within the scope of the study, after the effects of environmental conditions on monumental structures were classified as climatic, physical, chemical and biological, it was investigated how they damaged building materials within the scope of the research. In the continuation of the study, a building sample was selected from the building materials in which the deteriorations were explained and these structures were examined within the scope of the study. Finally, the study was completed with the conclusions and recommendations drawn from the study.
