In this study the free vibration problem of laminated orthotropic conical shells (LOCSs) based on the modified version of first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is investigated. Based on the physical and mathematical reasoning, the motion equations for LOCSs are derived and obtained formula for the frequency parameters using the Galerkin's method. In order to prove the validity of the formulas, the specific cases of this study were compared with the results of other studies in the literature. Finally, the influence of various parameters; stacking-sequence, shear stresses (SSs) and aspect ratio on the fundamental frequency parameters (FFPs) of LOCSs are examined.
