- Energy consumption in the construction sector is one of the most important sectors in this respect such as the
industrial, service and agricultural sectors.
- Public buildings of sectors also contribute greatly to this increase. Therefore, it becomes important to make fast
and accurate energy demand forecasts of public buildings.
- Due to this fact, in our study, the energy consumption of a municipality building in Istanbul, as a public
building, was determined using the BIN Data values created for Istanbul and compared with the actual energy
consumption values.
- For Istanbul's BIN data values, dry bulb temperatures in the Typical Meteorological Year, which were created
according to 15-year meteorological values.
- According to these obtained BIN data values, heating and cooling thermal loads were calculated by taking into
account required values of the municipality building, then these obtained values were also compared with actual
fuel and electricity consumptions.
