Özet

As minimally invasive techniques become more common in MRI units, the need for anesthesia support has increased. While recognizing and addressing the contraindications and concerns that may develop in a patient is similar to what is already done in the surgical setting, the additional requirements and limitations of the imaging environment and procedure require specific solutions. MRI units, as in other Radiology units, are challenging environments for administering sedation and general anesthesia. The need to administer anesthesia to the patient may be due to many needs. Anesthesiologist and Medical Imaging Technician must work in harmony in order for the patient to be taken under anesthesia. In this study, which is about investigating whether the level of knowledge is sufficient for the anesthesia technician to manage this practice outside the surgical environment, which he is generally familiar with, the education he received and the adequacy of his professional knowledge in the field, it is aimed to measure the level of knowledge with the questionnaire questions directed to both groups. As a concrete example of the belief that written protocols should be produced for these environments, the outputs of this awareness study are presented in a report and are a preliminary finding for future studies. All anesthesia applications in the field of MRI require teamwork, especially when contrast agent and anesthetic agent applications are used together. Both Anesthesiologist and Medical Imaging Technician have to have knowledge about the other's job, albeit partially and work in harmony. This study aims to make a meaningful contribution to the literature by measuring the relevant knowledge level and comparing the results of both groups within themselves and with each other.
