Volunteer Satisfaction has become a trend in disaster management. Volunteers's participation and
satisfaction play a critical role for providing effective response to disasters, and reducing the possible
effects of disasters. In spite of the expanding body of literature on this concept, the measurement of
volunteer satisfaction is still not clear. The aim of this study is to provide an original, valid, and reliable
measure of volunteer satisfaction in the coordination of humanitarian supply chain operations. Based on
a proposed conceptual framework of volunteer satisfaction, a scale was developed through a systematic
scale development process. The results show that volunteer satisfaction compliance scale has good
reliability and validity. Although the widening literature about humanitarian supply chain, volunteer
satisfaction is still difficult to find a commonly accepted definition in disaster management. This study
fills in gaps in litetature and contribute of future research about volunteer satisfaction in disaster
management.
