Th/s study a/ms to exam/ne the /mpact of Turkey's automot/ve exports on econom/c growth w/th an emp/r/cal approach. In the f/rst part of the three-part study, the concept of econom/c growth /s expla/ned and the bas/c character/st/cs and types of growth are emphas/zed. In the second part, the relat/onsh/p between econom/c growth and fore/gn trade /s d/scussed, and the h/stor/cal development of the automot/ve sector, as well as product/on and export data both globally and /n Turkey, are presented. In the th/rd part, the relat/onsh/p between automot/ve exports and econom/c growth /s evaluated w/th data from the per/od 1969-2023. In th/s context, an exam/nat/on was made on annual data by apply/ng d/str/buted lag autoregress/ve bounds test (ARDL) analys/s. The f/nd/ngs revealed that automot/ve exports have a stat/st/cally s/gn/f/cant and pos/t/ve /mpact on econom/c growth. Th/s s/tuat/on shows that the automot/ve sector has strateg/c /mportance /n terms of fore/gn trade and econom/c growth.
