Abstract:The concept of globalization can be considered as a rapid transformation process in which national economies, cultures and borders are intertwined and a large part of social life shaped by global actors. Today, existing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are one of the policy-producing actors of globalization. However, communication opportunities for NGOs have become a very important channel in particular to guide the public. Civil society is a very important actor in the near future of Turkey, which keeps pace with the rapidly globalizing world. Therefore, the movement area of NGOs is increasingly starting to gain an international quality. In this study, the situation and rise of NGOs in the globalization process are examined. With the formation of neoliberal approaches in the Western understanding, the activities and orientation of international NGOs have increased considerably both economically and politically. While the concept of global civil society has a wide range of use worldwide, civil society studies, which have been continuing its continuity in recent years, are developing in this framework. Many non-governmental organizations, which operate globally, continue their activities in Turkey. Therefore, movement area of non-governmental organizations is increasingly becoming an international quality. In this study, the opinions of employees regarding the status and rise of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the globalization process are examined. In order to examine these processes, the Taş Academician Opinions Scale on Internationalization developed by Taşçı (2018) was used. The expression "university" on the scale was changed to "NGO", "academician" and "student" expression was changed to "volunteer". After examining the socio- demographic characteristics of the NGO employees, all statistical analyzes for NGOs' Opinions Scale and sub-dimensions were made with IBM SPSS 25.0 program. Motivation/support, participation/practice, justification and policy/strategy, occupational status and foreign language level differ significantly different (p <0.05). The employees' views and sub-dimensions of NGO employees, NGOs on internationalization and sub-dimensions are status significantly differentiated according to the gender and seniority status. Motivation/support, justification and policy/strategy of NGO employees, NGOs 'employees' views and sub-dimensions on internationalization, are status significantly differentiated according to civilized and international experience. Participation/application of NGO employees, NGOs' employee views on internationalization and sub-dimensional participation/implementation differs from statistically significant differences according to their overseas experience. In general, the successful internationalization of Turkish NGOs requires both the support from the government, the business world, the society, the international NGOs and the international organizations, as well as to develop itself through development through mutual learning within NGOs, cooperation and development through change and competition. Only then will we see that Turkish NGOs play an important role in international relations and contribute to the progress of Turkey's soft power.
