Abstract:

The One Belt One Road -OBOR Project, announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, refers to the revival of the old Silk Road. Through this Project, China aims to increase its trade relations with Europe by reducing logistics costs and duration. Large-scale investments are made in many countries along the project route. Important projects have been developed in Turkey in this context. The shift of the global economic powerhouse from the United States to the Asia-Pacific region has made this project much more important. Thanks to the transportation networks to be carried out within the scope of the project, logistics will be carried out faster and less costly, facilitating the integration of countries in the region into the international economy. In the first part of this study, the concept of international trade, recent developments related to this and China's changing economic policies and its rise in international trade are included. After detailed information about the OBOR Project was given in the second part, axis shifts in international trade were evaluated within the framework of this project. In the last chapter, Turkey's situation in axis shifts was examined within the scope of OBOR project.
