Abstract:

In Turkey, public institutions and organizations under the name of performance management, predominantly employees do not know clearly according to the basis of the system is implemented clearly. The General Directorate of IETT, which is affiliated to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and has a private establishment law, implements a performance appraisal system close to 360 degrees in order to evaluate the performance of the employees. In this study, as a public organization, the performance evaluation system that the General Directorate of IETT has implemented has been examined. In the research, the materials we have opened by the relevant institution have been evaluated using content analysis methods. The result is that the betting performance system is well designed, but the data obtained with this system is not used as input enough in the design of pay, career planning and training activities.
