Abstract:

In this study, research on corporate risk management in non-governmental organizations is included. In this research, a result evaluation of a review on the corporate governance, risk perception and precautions of non-governmental organizations was made. It is important that the corporate governance and corporate risk management structure, which is widely used in businesses, is also implemented in non-governmental organizations. Institutional risk management cannot be achieved as a result of non-governmental organizations' inability to complete their institutionalization. In case of exposure to possible risks, it may result in a crisis. The corporate risk management system to be established by institutionalization in non-governmental organizations will prevent and eliminate risks. Most of the non-governmental organizations have employees and managerial staff consisting of volunteers. Some of the volunteer employees can participate in the studies on a part-time basis in certain periods. In places where there is continuous and intense operation, sometimes mistakes can be made due to individual mistakes rather than abuse. As a result, the institution becomes open to risks due to the inability to employ professional employees. Risk management perception and practice in non-governmental organizations, in a foundation review; Corporate management, risk perception and precautions, risk awareness, corporate risk management studies of the Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) are discussed. In the research, data collection method was used by conducting in-depth interviews. A total of 16 people, consisting of IHH's board of trustees, members of the board of directors, and unit supervisors requiring expertise, were interviewed to discuss the practices of corporate risk management in the foundation.
