Abstract:By the twenty-first century, transformation that is going through the world can be described as a journey to the collective information society. Creating information, knowledge, and information-based management systems are the most important efforts of the period, as in logistics. In the management of local municipalities, as well as infrastructure and social municipalities, knowledge based management understanding is developing rapidly. In this study, a literature survey was carried out to examine the studies on local municipal administrations up to now, and then a field study was carried out on the Municipality of Beyoğlu via in its service logistics. Beyoğlu is, one of the most central districts of Istanbul. In the work plan, firstly the information obtained from the literature survey was shared, support for the use of information in local municipalities and obstacles factors were put forward and then the situation was examined qualitatively and quantitatively for Beyoğlu Municipality. The question of how does the service logistics in change as technology usage increase in the municipalities, is the core of this survey.
