Abstract:

The geographical location of the Balkan Peninsula, its gateway to other parts of Europe, its proximity to Asia and its close proximity to Africa has always taken its place on the history scene as a meeting and struggle between empires. The Balkan Peninsula has important features with its geopolitical and geostrategic position extending to Central Europe and the Mediterranean. The Balkans Region and European geography have been influenced in many ways by the events that took place together with the end of the Cold War. The conflicts that have arisen in the Balkans have led to bloody wars. Eventually, many new states were established. This has led to a change in the European Union's policy towards the region. The enlargement policy, which is the greatest power of the European Union, entered into this period. In different histories, some Balkan States have become part of this great structure. As a result of the disintegration of Yugoslavia, transformation and transformation took place in the Western Balkan States, which are in the process of European Union integration. In the study, Bosnia and Herzegovina's European Union relations were examined. On the way to the European Union, the negative aspects of Bosnia and Herzegovina are addressed.
