Abstract:

Personnel selection process is one of the most important process for companies in order to survive their life, to increase market share and to keep their competitive advantages in a globalized economy. Personnel selection is a multi-criteria decision making problem because of including qualitative and quantitative criteria at the same time. In this study, Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making method with TOPSIS and with VIKOR is used for the personnel selection problem. The developed methods are applied to a participation banks operating in the Turkish banking sector. Five candidates for the position of assistant specialist at the bank, are evaluated by decision-makers group, including five executives, by using ten selection criteria. The ranking of candidates is made by the proposed method and selected the most suitable candidate.
