Abstract:Today, the economical, technological and political changes have caused to quick changes along the competitive power with the effect of globalization. That the communication network is so broad in the world and an information spreads to whole world in a second has been increasing the rate of change in the competitive power day by day. The countries have been still making a hard effort in order to win, protect and improve the competitive power. The countries which are ever-developing, underdeveloped and the developed ones having the major cut in the world economy have been looking for different ways and developing strategies to improve and sustain the competitive power. Turkey also wants to improve its competitive power in the whole markets against its competitors to have a larger place in the world, increase the welfare level and acquire an economic growth each passing day. It's valid for the textile sector that has a big share in manufacturing industry in Turkey. That Turkey improves its competitive power against the increasing competition in textile sector is essential for the future of the sector. The aim of the prepared study is to evaluate the situation of the competitive power between the years of 2006-2015 that has the textile sub-sectors in Turkey by using the method of Revealed Comparative Advantages. The data of Turkey's import export that belong to textile sector between the years of 2006-2015 have been collected by making use of the database of Trade Map that base on the classification system of Harmonized System GTIP and ITC in the study. The data have calculated one by one for the decennium in the framework of all the sub-sectors except for the method of AKU and the carpet belonging to textile sector. The acquired indices and the competitive power of sub-sectors belonging to Turkey's textile sector have been put forward. According to the research findings, it's been reached the information that 33 out of 90 sub-sectors are competitive, 18 of them are border on competitiveness and 38 of them have low competitive power.
